Congratulations to Soapsuds who have won the Division 1 title with one game to spare.

‘Potato TV’, the TV Production company behind such hit shows as ‘The Chase’ and ‘Ninja Warrior UK’ are looking for FUN contestants to take part in a brand new BBC quiz show with thousands of pounds up for grabs!

They are keen to get a wide range of quiz enthusiasts to apply.

The Wirral heat of the Mimir Individual Competition will take place once again at New Brighton Cricket Club this year

The date is Wednesday 15th February 2023 commencing 8pm and the competition is open to all Wirral Quiz League players

Wirral are normally allowed 7 qualifiers to the further stages of this competition which this year will also take place at New Brighton Cricket Club on Wednesday 22nd March.This event will involve other qualifiers from the other areas of the Merseyside Quiz League

To comply with Martin’s wishes, his funeral was private.

His family has arranged a get together on Friday 27th January at New Brighton Cricket Club where friends and family can meet to talk about Martin and their memories of him.

The room has been booked from 1.30 p.m. until 5 p.m. and quizzers, past and present, who knew Martin and would like to attend can drop in at any time and stay for however long suits them.

New Brighton Cricket Club is in Wallasey, postcode CH45 5DE, for anyone who hasn’t previously attended.

We are sorry to have tell you about the death of Martin Roberts, secretary of Roundheads.  A full obituary will be publishes as soon as we receive it from his team.  Our condolences go out to his family, friends and team mates.

Please note that the above team are no longer nomads! As from November 15th their home games will be played at St Josephs Parish Centre Greenbank Road, Birkenhead CH42 7JY.

Congratulations to Wayne Shaw of Gladly Stoned who scored his second full house of the season on 31st October.

Peter Maddocks passed away on 25th October 2022. Peter was an ever present in the Bebington Hockey team since 2012 and in recent seasons played occasionally for Thingwall

His funeral will take place at 1.30pm on Thursday 17th November at Landican.

The League offers its condolences to Peter's friends and family.
